(Not currently available to be ordered)

I am Kangaroo Paw ‘Bush Fire’. My family originated from South Western Australia

Botanic Name: Anigozanthos x hybrid ‘Rambofire’(PBR)

Clumping/Strappy – Bird attracting

Naturally free-branching with multiple red stems each of which produces up to ten flower heads I am perfect to add bright colour to the garden.

I am happiest in well-drained soil and a sunny position. The more sun I get the more red my flowers become.

While tolerant of dry conditions I will perform at my best with consistent moisture.

I am just as happy as a container plant as I am planted out in the garden.

Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun)
Height: 0.5m Width: 0.45m
I need minimal water once established but perform at my best in consistently moist soils
Australian Native
I do well in most soils but thrive in sandy soils. Hardy I tolerate extremes of temperature
I am popular and will make you happy because…
I am a unique Australian native, just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
I produce masses of orange/gold velvety flowers year round. I am a great cut flower
My long lived blooms attract honey eaters and other small nectar feeding birds

    Plant me:

  • in pots and other containers
