Anigozanthos Frosty Yellow ‘Kangaroo Paw’ – 180MM

(Not currently available to be ordered)

I am Frosty Yellow Kangaroo Paw. My family originated from South Western Australia

Botanic Name: Anigozanthos rufus ‘Frosty Yellow’
Strappy/Grasses – Bird attracting
I am smaller growing Kangaroo Paw with spectacular bright yellow flowers on bright red stems which contrast magnificently against my blue-green foliage from spring through to autumn.
I naturally grow to a neatly tufted mound that works well with many garden styles.
I enjoy free draining and sandy soils but perform well in most soils.
While tolerant of dry conditions I will perform at my best with consistent moisture. I am just as happy as a container plant as I am planted out in the garden.
As a cut flower I am long lived in a vase when being enjoyed indoors.
Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun)
Height: 0.6m Width: 0.6m
I need minimal water once established but perform at my best in consistently moist soils
Australian Native
I do well in most soils but thrive in sandy soils. Hardy I tolerate extremes of temperature
I am popular and will make you happy because…
I am a unique Australian native, just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
Great as cut flowers my frosty yellow blooms appear on blue green foliage through spring, summer and autumn
My long lived blooms attract honey eaters and other small nectar feeding birds
    Plant me:
  • in pots and other containers
