Anigozanthos Landscape Gold Kangaroo Paw Yellow 200MM

Anigozanthos Landscape Gold ‘Kangaroo Paw (Yellow)’ – 200MM

(Not currently available to be ordered)

I am Bush Pioneer Kangaroo Paw. My family originated from South Western Australia

Botanic Name: Anigozanthos x hybrid ‘Ramboneer’(PBR)
Strappy/Grasses – Bird attracting

I am a stunning long lived native Kangaroo Paw with a profusion of very bright golden yellow flowers from branching red stems in spring and summer.
I grow well in a broad range of soil types and positions.
I am a stunning garden and landscape plant with my tall flower stems attracting nectar feeding birds and insects.
I am happiest in full sun to part shade but lower light levels will decrease the number of blooms I produce.
My flowers are long lived when cut to be enjoyed indoors.
Once a year, tidy up after my flowers die down by cutting them down at the base of the stem. Every few years if my clump starts to look untidy or affected by heavy frost cut me down completely in spring close to the ground with a hedge trimmer or shears.
I appreciate a feed with a good native fertiliser while flowering. Water during dry spells will ensure full sized blooms.
Full Sun (6+ hours of direct sun)
Height: 1.6m Width: 1.5m
I need minimal water once established but perform at my best in consistently moist soils
Australian Native
I do well in most soils but thrive in sandy soils. Hardy I tolerate extremes of temperature
I am popular and will make you happy because…
I am a unique Australian native, just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
I produce masses of golden yellow flowers from red stems in late winter through summer. I am a great cut flower
My long lived blooms attract honey eaters and other small nectar feeding birds
    Plant me:
  • in pots and other containers
  • in garden beds and general landscaping
  • to be cut flowers to be enjoyed indoors
  • in coastal conditions
Tips for success…

The Nature's Nectar ® Collection

Australian native plants are increasingly popular with both home gardeners and landscapers due to the drought tolerant nature and the fact they are usually very hardy plants.

Nature's Nectar® is an exceptional collection of flowering native structural plants that also encourage birds into the garden.
