I am Dragon Head Bamboo. My family originated from western China

Botanic Name: Fargesia dracocephala ‘Rufa’

**Upright – Non-Invasive/Clumping**
I am one of the “Dragon Head” bamboos. I feature glossy green stems with rusty red hues and am fast growing. I am a non-invasive clump-forming bamboo that quickly grows to a height of around 1.8 to 2.4 metres with a maximum height around 3 metres. Upright when young my canes will arch under the weight of my foliage as I age. My elegant form sways beautifully in the slightest breeze I am a good choice for container planting where my upright and gently curved habit will enhance a paved space. I am one of the Bamboos eaten by Giant Pandas. I am low maintenance clumping bamboo easy to grow, compact and very hardy.

	Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun)
	Height: 3m Width: 2.2m (Can be kept trimmed to Height: 1m Width: 1m)
	I will perform at my best with consistent moisture but tolerate dry spells
	Screening/Hedging
	I am happy in most soils but prefer soils with reasonable drainage
