Botanic Name: Banksia ericifolia ‘Red Alert’

**Shrub/Herb – Large Bird Attracting Blooms**
A smaller growing form of Banksia ericifolia. I am an evergreen native shrub with fine linear bright green leaves and produce spectacular cylindrical red flower cones up to 20cm tall and 8cm wide from spring to autumn. My dense habit provides excellent habitat for birds and makes me a good screening option. I enjoy well drained soils. I can be pruned to shape if required or cut back hard to regenerate. My flowers are rich in nectar attracting birds and beneficial insects alike.

	Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun)
	Height: 2.5m Width: 2m (Can be kept trimmed to Height: 1m Width: 1m)

	Suitable for coastal planting, I tolerate most soils but am happiest in free drainaging and sandy soils
