I am Banksia Sentinel. My family originated from Eastern Australia
| I am a naturally narrow compact and upright form of the native Coastal Banksia.
My yellow flower cones appear from late autumn through winter, attracting birds, insects and other animals for which I am an important food source. I am also important for honey production. My upright form makes me ideal as a native screening hedge either clipped to a formal shape which will improve my density or left unclipped where my natural upright rounded form will feature. Hardy, I thrive in exposed locations and coastal conditions. |
