Blueberry Peach Sorbet 180MM
Blueberry ‘Peach Sorbet®’ – 180MM
(Not currently available to be ordered)
I am Peach Sorbet® BlueBerry. My family originated from North America
I am a compact bushy blueberry with stunning peach, pink, orange and emerald green foliage.
I produce sprays of small, white or pink urn-shaped flowers in spring followed by edible flavourful sweet tasting blueberries. In colder areas I am a deciduous shrub with my leaves turning red and purple before they shed in autumn. I am valued equally for my fruit and my beautiful form. I am equally as happy growing in a container or in the garden. I prefer acidic (low pH 4.5 to 5.5) soils or potting mixes (which might be labelled as also suited to Roses, Gardenia and Azaleas). More tolerant of warmer winters For best fruiting I need 300 chill hours suiting me to areas south of Brisbane. |
Full Sun (6+ hours of direct sun)
Height: 0.5m Width: 0.5m
I need moderate water. Give me a drink when the top of my soil starts feels dry. I dislike wet conditions
Great for Pots | |
I perform well in most free draining soils but do best in those that are fertile with an acid pH (4.5 – 5.5) |
I am popular and will make you happy because… |
I am a compact shrub producing abundant sweet, tropical essence flavoured blueberries in summer
My foliage has peach pink orange and emerald green leaves which turn a rich eggplant purple in winter
I am just as happy in decorative pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden |
- Plant me:
- in pots and other containers
- in garden beds and general landscaping
- as a screening hedge
Tips for success… |
Fertilse in spring. Prune out fruit bearing branches after harvest leaving new branches for next season
Plant me 30cm apart | |
