Botanic Name: Boronia heterophylla x megastigma ‘Purple Jared’
I am Boronia Purple Jared. My family originated from Western Australia
| A deep purple flowering hybrid of Brown Boronia I make an outstanding cut flower with delightful perfume. I am a dense small shrub suited to sunny or partially shaded locations.
I am a magnet for bees and beneficial insects. I like a cool root run, a thick layer of mulch being beneficial to stop my soil getting hot. Prune me back by a 3rd after flowering to ensure good blooms in the next season. Deceptively hardy for my delicate form I cope well with a range of soils and conditions. I am a great choice for areas where people brush past to enjoy my scent year round. |
