I am Albery’s Red NSW Christmas Bush. My family originated from Australia
| I am a compact form of NSW Christmas Bush – a name I am often given due to my spectacular show during Christmas.
I produce a profusion of white flowers in spring, which are followed by showy, red flower bracts. My flowers will attract butterflies and other pollinating insects to your garden. My flowers, flower bracts and foliage are commonly used in the cut flower industry. Plant me as a feature plant in native gardens and habitat gardens or in a large container. I grow best in a full sun to part shade position in rich, moist well-drained soil. Mulch me well to keep my soil moist and provide me with regular water during hot periods of weather. To keep me looking good give me a prune me back about a third after flowering to keep my compact habit. |
