Chamelaucium Ice Queen 180MM

Chamelaucium ‘Ice Queen’ – 180MM

(Not currently available to be ordered)

I am Ice Queen Wax Flower. My family originated from South Western Australia

Botanic Name: Chamelaucium uncinatum ‘Ice Queen’(PBR)

Shrub/Herb – Prolific white blooms

I am one of the later flowering ‘Wax Flowers’. I am a stunning upright native shrub producing a profusion of buds during winter which open to delightful white flowers with pale yellow centres during spring.

My compact form is ideal for a pot or other container and I am just as happy planted out in the garden.

My flowers are very popular with (stingless) native bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.

Happy in most free draining soils I enjoy a sunny aspect but tolerate lightly shaded locations. I will flower more grown in a sunny aspect.

My blooms are long-lived when cut making me very popular as a cut flower particularly as a filler in floral arrangements.

I am low maintenance but will benefit from a prune to shape after I finish flowering and an application of a native slow-release fertiliser as the weather warms in spring. Avoid cutting me back hard into old wood.

I am drought tolerant once established and cope well with coastal conditions.

Given my beautiful floral displays and low-fuss nature, I am the perfect choice to grace your garden as a standalone feature or showy hedge.
