I am Tiny Dancer Wax Flower. My family originated from South Western Australia
Botanic Name: Chamelaucium uncinatum ‘Tiny Dancer’(PBR)
I am Tiny Dancer Wax Flower. My family originated from South Western Australia
| Known as a ‘Wax Flower’ I am a stunning native shrub producing a profusion of buds during winter which open to delightful white flowers with pale yellow centres during spring.
Happy in most free draining soils I enjoy a sunny aspect but tolerate lightly shaded locations. I have a naturally dense form with fine needle-like bright green foliage. My blooms are long-lived when cut making me very popular as a cut flower particularly as a filler in floral arrangements. I am low maintenance but will benefit from a prune to shape after I finish flowering and an application of a native slow-release fertiliser as the weather warms in spring. I am drought tolerant once established and cope well with coastal conditions. Given my beautiful floral displays and low-fuss nature, you will enjoy watching me dance in your garden. |
