Eucalyptus cinerea Silver Dollar 200MM

Eucalyptus cinerea ‘Silver Dollar’ – 200MM

(Not currently available to be ordered)

I am Silver Dollar Gum. My family originated from Southern NSW

Botanic Name: Eucalyptus cinerea ssp. cinerea

Bushy – Interesting foliage

My new growth when young or cut back is a glaucous, a powdery looking blue-green, and egg shaped leading to one of my common names “Silver Dollar” gum/tree.

Not coppiced or cut back I will mature to a medium sized elegant tree with silver foliage and fibrous fissured bark.

I can maintained at a small size and having a lignotuber can be cut back hard, reshoot from a coppiced stump. This is often done to allow my silver dollar foliage to be harvested for use floral arrangements making me highly sought after in the cut flower industry.

I produce masses of fluffy white flowers anytime between May and November.

Hardy I tolerate poor soils, drought, frost and cold. I am suited to exposed locations and for use as a windbreak.
