I am Mt Tamboritha Grevillea. My family originated from South East Australia

Botanic Name: Grevillea lanigera ‘Mt. Tamboritha’

Bushy – Bird and bee attracting

I am an Australian native ground cover form of Grevillea with narrow pointed foliage and masses of red and cream spider flowers which can appear year round if planted in a sunny location.

My compact form is sufficiently dense that it will outcompete most weeds.

My flowers are particularly popular with small nectar feeding birds including spinebills and honeyeaters.

I work particularly well in rockeries, on banks or cascading over retaining walls.

Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun)
Height: 0.3m Width: 1.5m
(Can be kept trimmed to Height: 0.3m Width: 0.3m)
I need minimal water once established

Suitable for coastal planting and tolerant of heavy frost, I thrive in most soils and conditions
I am popular and will make you happy because…

My lush dense foliage makes me an excellent ground cover and a good choice for beside retaining walls
I am just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden

  • in pots and other containers
  • in hanging baskets
  • in garden beds and general landscaping
  • in coastal conditions

Tips for success…
