I am Port Wine Magnolia. My family originated from China
| I am a selection of intensely fragrant evergreen Magnolias, ‘Cleopatra’ and Cinderella’, that flower prolifically during spring and into summer.
Evergreen I am a handsome shrub to 3 metres tall by 2 metres across. My leaves are glossy and leathery and during spring its furry buds open to clusters of large pale pink flowers the brighten to white with a heady cinnamon fragrance. I am happy growing in sun or light shade. Appreciating consistently moist soil I might need some extra irrigation during dry periods. I make a great feature hedge and am sufficiently dense that I provide good screening. |
