I am Up and Away Lilly Pily. My family originated from Eastern Australia
| I am a quick growing Australian native with a naturally upright columnar form and stunning colourful glossy foliage.
Your local birds and beneficial insects are attracted to me as I provide them with both food an habitat. My bright foliage is a rich coppery tone when new maturing to a lush deep green. I bloom during the warmer months with fluffy white flowers which are followed by edible purple berries. Originating in the rain forest I am hardy and adaptable. Tolerant of dry conditions once established am also happy in moister soils. while I make an excellent feature specimen I am also make a great dense screening and low maintenance hedge. I perform well grown in pots and other containers. While I do not require pruning to maintain my form I can be pruned to shape as desired and make an excellent topiary specimen. |
