Tips for success
Keep me thriving
Light suitability: Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun). Consider local heat, wind and seasonal shade, and follow any more specific advice on the plant label.
I have low maintenance needs, but still appreciate a little attention. Observe the plant’s shape and new growth through the seasons, remove damaged material with clean tools and refresh the mulch when needed without piling it against the stem.
Pruning: Low maintenance I benefit from a light trim from time to time and a spring application of a slow release fertiliser for native plants.
Flowering: You can expect me to flower in March, April, May, September, October and November. Local climate, position and seasonal conditions can make flowering begin earlier or finish later. Observe the plant rather than pruning by the calendar alone, particularly while buds or flowers are forming.
Watering: Check the soil at root depth regularly and water deeply when it begins to dry. I prefer even moisture without constantly saturated roots. Check more often during establishment and in hot, dry or windy weather.
