Everyday care for Pogonatherum paniceum 'Ceylona'
Here’s how to look after me
Tips for success
Keep me thriving
Light suitability: Full Sun to Part Shade (4+ hours of direct sun). Consider local heat, wind and seasonal shade, and follow any more specific advice on the plant label.
My maintenance level is not yet known. Observe the plant’s shape and new growth through the seasons, remove damaged material with clean tools and refresh the mulch when needed without piling it against the stem.
Watering: Check the soil at root depth regularly and water deeply when it begins to dry. I prefer even moisture without constantly saturated roots. Check more often during establishment and in hot, dry or windy weather.

Regular checks
Problems to watch for
Southern Plants is still building my variety-specific pest and disease information, and there are no approved watch items yet. Please check back as the growers add more information. In the meantime, inspect the leaves, stems and soil regularly so changes can be noticed early.
