Lilly Pilly 'Cherry Black' 180MM

Acmena smithii 'Cherry Black'

I am Lilly Pilly 'Cherry Black'. My family originated from Eastern Australia.

Habit Shrub - Psyllid Resistant

Plant family Myrtaceae

I am a fast-growing, evergreen tall native shrub with glossy-green foliage highlighted by dark, cherry-red coloured new growth. Clusters of small white blossoms that bloom in spring and summer are followed by edible mauve coloured fruit. I make the perfect dense screen or hedge and respond well to light pruning to shape.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

My fast growth & response to pruning make me a great hedging & screening plant

My new growth is a shiny dark cherry to almost black colour, both stunning & beautiful

My fluffy white flowers in summer are followed by dark red berries attracting birds and other wildlife
