Yellow Mountain Sandwort 140MM

Arenaria montana Yellow

I am Yellow Mountain Sandwort. My family originated from South Western Europe.

Habit Groundcover - Masses of yellow blooms

Plant family Caryophyllaceae

I am a beautiful little perennial forming a mat of small, glossy grey green grass like leaves and producing masses of large, circular, yellow flowers from early spring through summer. My spreading mounding habit makes an ideal plant for rockeries and to fill small gaps in the garden. I will also fill and spill over when planted in pots and other containers. I come from Europe and am very frost hardy but I need consistent moisture.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

I am a groundcover with a compact and showy habit making me ideal for rockeries and borders

I produce masses of rather large yellow flowers during summer

My cascading habit suits me to pots, hanging baskets or to be grown over retaining walls
