Dawson River Weeper Bottlebrush 200MM

Callistemon viminalis 'Dawson River Weeper'

I am Dawson River Weeper Bottlebrush. My family originated from Eastern Australia.

Habit Tree - Bird and bee attracting
Plant family Myrtaceae
I am a small native tree with narrow arching branches that tend to weep all the way to the ground. I produce bright red flowers that attract nectar feeding birds, butterflies and beneficial insects. Hardy in most conditions I make a great specimen tree, screening hedge or wind break. Hardy and adaptable I happily tolerate light frost and dry conditions while still being a good choice for heavy soils that are occasionally waterlogged. I am a great Australian native plant.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
I am a small native tree with a dense habit making me a natural choice when screening is needed
My prolific and spectacular bright red blooms are at the ends of my weeping branches in spring and summer
I am a magnet for nectar feeding birds
