I am a dramatic tropical foliage plant with lush green banana-like leaves which contrast beautifully with my upright bright showy red and yellow coloured blooms. I flower from late spring through to autumn. Adaptable I am just as happy growing in a large pot or other container as I am planted out in the garden. The lushness of my foliage and brightness of my flowers are a great way to impart a tropical feel to the garden or patio etc. when container grown. I am happy in most soils and a good choice for areas that are poorly drained and can be wet and waterlogged.
