Carex Blue Cascade 140MM

Carex glauca 'Blue Cascade'

I am Carex Blue Cascade. My family originated from Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia.

Habit Strappy - Ideal for mass planting

Plant family Acanthaceae

I am a clumping grass-like plant with striking soft blue foliage. I am a popular addition to landscaping projects when mass planted and will tolerate occasional foot traffic. I also make a great weed inhibiting ground cover as I send out spreading lateral roots. I will tolerate boggy, wet areas making me a great waters edge plant, effective in reducing soil erosion. After becoming established, I will become drought tolerant and need little water. In a garden setting, give me a regular clipping to keep me clean and looking tidy. I otherwise require very little maintenance.
