Meghan Wax Flower 180MM

Chamelaucium uncinatum 'Meghan'

I am Meghan Wax Flower. My family originated from South Western Australia.

Habit Shrub - Prolific pink blooms
Plant family Myrtaceae
I am a Geraldton Wax bred by Kings Park & Botanic Garden and selected specifically for my tall, thin stems and mid-season flowering, making me an ideal cut flower variety. I put on a striking display of masses of clear pink waxy blooms from mid spring, set beautifully against a backdrop of fresh, fine green foliage. My flowers bring native birds and pollinators into the garden, and I hold my colour for an extended flowering period. My habit makes me a natural fit for native gardens and low-maintenance plantings. I am tolerant of light frost, so give me a reasonably sheltered spot if your garden receives anything heavier. Water me for my first nine weeks to get me established. To keep me looking at my best, feed me with a native slow-release fertiliser in early spring and then prune me back by up to a third once I've finished flowering.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
I produce masses of clear pink waxy blooms from mid spring, which are perfect as cut flowers

I am tough and low maintenance, tolerating hot, dry conditions once established
