Common Everlasting or Silver Sunburst 140MM

Chrysocephalum apiculatum 'Silver Sunburst'

I am Common Everlasting or Silver Sunburst. My family originated from Eastern Australia.

Habit Shrub - Coastal Conditions
Plant family Asteraceae
I provide year-round delight with the silvery foliage and masses of small bright golden papery daisies held close in delightful contrast to my foliage. I can flower for most of the year in the right conditions and reliably bloom in spring and summer. Requiring little to no maintenance I am an amazing performer in the garden, having an excellent naturally rounded form, sufficiently dense to outcompete most weeds and particularly hardy even in exposed locations. I am indigenous to most of eastern Australia particularly in coastal regions. Very hardy, low maintenance and fast growing I tolerate frost and dry spells. Adaptable I am good for sun and light shade. I am at home in a range of garden styles, including coastal gardens, rockeries, as a border, in pots and other containers.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
I am ideal for native or coastal gardens I will attract bees and beneficial insects to your garden
My silvery foliage is a delight all year with my plentiful golden blooms prominent in spring and summer
Hardy and adaptable I am just as happy garden planted or in a pot or other container
