Rob's Mauve False Heather 140MM

Cuphea hyssopifolia Rob's Mauve

I am Rob's Mauve False Heather. My family originated from Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras.

Habit Shrub - Long Flowering Window

Plant family Lythraceae

I am a pink to mauve flowering form of Mexican Heather with pretty, dark green foliage. My delicate small blooms are abundant and most prolific in summer and tapering through autumn. My mounding, semi-trailing growth habit and colourful blooms make me a great choice for baskets and containers or planting out in the garden. While my blooms appear delicate I am hardy and tolerate heat and dry conditions where I still end up looking lush. My blooms attract butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

I am ideal in borders, mass planted and a good choice for pots and other containers

I produce masses of mauve to pink star shaped flowers for most of the year, prolifically during summer

I am self-cleaning, so deadheading is not necessary
