Digitalis Foxlight Ruby Glow 180MM

Digitalis × hybrida 'Foxlight Ruby Glow'

I am Digitalis Foxlight Ruby Glow. My family originated from Europe to Northern Africa.

Habit Shrub - Attracts nectar feeding birds

Plant family Plantaginaceae

I am a smaller growing foxglove with stately upright flower spikes creating a column of ruby pink blooms from late spring into summer. I grow as a central stem with broad green leaves radiating down below and the flower spike above. Each of my blooms is slightly lighter inside and lined with small spots. I am a favourite in cottage style gardens and my upright habit makes a statement and introduces a vertical element to the garden. Adaptable I am also a good choice for pots and container planting.

Caution: Harmful if eaten/skin & eye irritant

I am popular and will make you happy because...

I produce hundreds of ruby pink tubular blooms from a central flower spike from late spring through late summer

My blooms are a magnet for bees and beneficial insects

My upright habit creates a structural element in the garden and suits a variety of garden styles
