Euphorbia Blackbird 180MM

I am a Euphorbia selected for my outstanding burgundy-purple foliage, a colour that holds strong through the heat of summer and the cold of winter My deep, striking new growth matures to a handsome bronzed green, and from late winter through spring I send up spikes of soft lime yellow flowers for a real contrast display. I am incredibly hardy and keep a very compact, tidy habit, making a dramatic specimen on my own or planted alongside other Euphorbias for a layered display. I bring year-round interest and structure to water-wise and Mediterranean-style gardens, and I am equally at home in a coastal garden or a stunning container display. I am dry tolerant once established, needing only occasional deep watering through extended heat. Feed me in spring with a slow-release fertiliser, and remove my spent flower heads to encourage further flushes. My sap can irritate skin and eyes, so take care and wear gloves when pruning me.
