My bright orange red and copper blooms with fluted petals are an attention grabber. My blooms are large, prolific and face upwards making me a blanket of colour from late spring through autumn. Particularly tough I tolerate hot and dry conditions and cope with the odd frost. I am an ideal way to bring colour to exposed locations and with high salt tolerance I am well suited to coastal conditions. I even perform well in the poorest of soils with reasonable drainage. Avoid planting me in boggy or waterlogged locations. Adaptable my form presents well in a pot or container. My leaves grow all the way to the base meaning I look good container planted year round. Removing my spent blooms will encourage repeat flowering. I can benefit from a hard cut back when I have finished flowering to set me up for the next season.
