Hardenbergia Happy Wanderer 200MM

Hardenbergia violacea 'Happy Wanderer'

I am Hardenbergia Happy Wanderer. My family originated from Eastern Australia.

Habit Climber - Great climbing plant
Plant family Fabaceae
I am a hardy native climber that originates from the south and east of Australia. I am characterised by tidy deep green shield shaped leaves and clusters of vibrant deep purple delicate pea flowers in spring. Moderately vigorous I will climb a trellis or other structure if provided making me a great choice to add screening to a trellis, wires and open forms of fencing. On flat ground without a support or flowing over a retaining wall I take the form of a well behaved ground cover. Both my leaves and flowers are edible and can be used brewed into a tea or as a garnish.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
I am a hardy evergreen climber with tidy deep green shield shaped foliage and a compact habit
I produce a prolific display of rich violet-mauve flowers from early winter through spring
I grow well in pots and am a great way to brighten up patios and paved areas
