Curry Plant 140MM

Helichrysum italicum 'Silvio'

I am Curry Plant. My family originated from North West Africa.

Habit Shrub - Silver foliage
Plant family Asteraceae
Helichrysum italicum 'Silvio' is a striking variety of the Helichrysum or Curry plant, growing only up to 30cm tall. Its delicate silvery leaves create a stunning contrast when planted alongside other green foliage plants. This particular variety is also able to withstand hot and dry climates, light frost, and coastal conditions. Young leaves can be harvested year round and used sparingly to add a curry flavour to dishes.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My leaves are pleasantly scented with a distinctive curry aroma
Hardy I am ideal for coastal planting, exposed locations and tolerate dry conditions
I am just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
