Lavender Sensation™ Purple 140MM

Lavandula pedunculata 'Senpur' Sensation™ Purple

I am Lavender Sensation™ Purple. My family originated from Europe & North Africa.

Habit Shrub - Tolerant of Heat & Humidity

Plant family Lamiaceae

I am an Australian bred lavender with a compact habit, aromatic silver-grey foliage and beautiful spikes of purple-blue flowers. My fragrant flowers are dark purple blue with soft lavender butterfly-like wings held above my foliage in autumn, winter and spring. Hardy, versatile and low maintenance I thrive in coastal conditions and do well in dry conditions needing little to no irrigation. I tolerate light frost and wind. Use me in borders, cottage gardens and cut my blooms to be enjoyed indoors.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

My aromatic purple blooms topped with purple wings grow on upright stems in late winter to early summer

Hardy and adaptable I am just as happy garden planted or in a pot

Plant me in borders, beside paths and entrances to best appreciate my fragrance
