Leucadendron Cheeky 180MM

Leucadendron salignum male hybrid

I am Leucadendron Cheeky. My family originated from Southern Africa.

Habit Shrub - Autumn/Spring colour

Plant family Proteaceae

I feature stunning bright red bracts which are even more vibrant during the colder months. I flower in the spring with small yellow spherical blooms which contrast beautifully against my bright foliage. My upright form and fast growth rate suits me to being used as a colourful screening hedge. I am an excellent and long lived as a cut flower. I am particularly hardy and drought tolerant once established. I appreciate free draining neutral to acidic soils. I am not suited to boggy conditions. I will perform at my best in full sun and tolerate shade. I benefit from a trim to shape after flowering. This will also help me produce more blooms in the next flowering season.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

I look great in a decorative pot

My flowers may be cut for indoor use

I am also ideal for use as a low hedge
