Leucadendron 'Safari Goldstrike' 180MM

Leucadendron strobolinum x laureolum 'Safari Goldstrike'

I am Leucadendron 'Safari Goldstrike'. My family originated from Cape region of South Africa.

Habit Shrub - Autumn/Spring colour

Plant family Proteaceae

I am a bright and fast growing Leucadendron with bright yellow bracts surrounding my yellow cone shaped flowers. My upright form and fast growth rate suits me to being used as a colourful screening hedge. I am an excellent and long lived as a cut flower. I am particularly hardy and drought tolerant once established. I appreciate free draining soils and am not suited to boggy conditions. I will perform at my best in full sun and tolerate shade. I benefit from a trim to shape after flowering. This will also help me produce more blooms in the next flowering season.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

My fast growth, bright colour and response to pruning make me a great hedging and screening option

Blooming during the cooler months my blooms are yellow cones surrounded by bright golden bracts

My blooms have long stems and are long lived when cut to be enjoyed indoors
