Shades of Colour™

Leopard Plant 180MM

Ligularia dentata 'Pandora'

I am Leopard Plant. My family originated from Japan.

Habit Shrub - Thrives in shady locatons
Plant family Asteraceae
I feature large purple to chocolate broard glossy leaves and look lush with a clumping naturally rounded form. My blooms are bright yellow and daisy on upright stems that create striking contrast with my lush foliage and appear from late summer into autumn. I thrive in moist well drained soils, but also tolerate poor soils. I am ideal as an indoor plant. Planted out in the garden I do best in a sheltered location, but enjoy full sun to part shade. I am great at creating an impact indoors and in tropical and 'Lush" style gardens.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My dark purple foliage retains its colour year round providing great contrast in the garden
My bright yellow flowers during spring & summer stand upright in beautiful contrast to my foliage
I perform well in a pot either indoors or sheltered locations
