Blue Statice 140MM

Limonium perezii Blue

I am Blue Statice. My family originated from the Canary Islands.

Habit Shrub - Hardy colour
Plant family Plumbaginaceae
My intense blue blooms create highlights wherever I am planted. My large clusters of bright purple-blue small flowers on long stems stand high above my lush broad leathery foliage. I flower in all but the hottest months of the year. I am a good choice for borders, rockeries, coastal gardens, pots and tight spaces. My tidy appearance and neat habit belies my hardy nature which makes me a good choice for exposed locations and challenging locations such as besides swimming pools. I make excellent cut and dried flowers.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
I produce dense clusters of papery purple flowers through out the year which are great as cut or dried flowers
I am suitable for coastal gardens, beside swimming pools, perennial borders and rockeries
I am just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
