Tufted Alpine Saxifraga 140MM

Saxifraga caespitosa Assorted

I am Tufted Alpine Saxifraga. My family originated from Western North America.

Habit Groundcover - Hardy and Low Maintenance

Plant family Saxifragaceae

I am a very hardy perennial ground cover with a clumping habit. My varieties include pink and white flowering forms. My star shaped flowers rise above my tidy foliage in late winter and early spring. Naturally found in alpine areas I have excellent cold and frost tolerance. I do best away from baking sun and extreme dry. A hardy and low growing ground cover I form neat round cushions. I am a good choice for light foot traffic areas such as between pavers.

I am popular and will make you happy because...

I produce masses of 5 pointed white, pink or red trumpet shaped flowers in late winter and early spring

I work well in rockeries, cottage gardens, as a ground cover and in pots
