Scabiosa Mariposa Candy Pink 180MM

I am a compact mounding perennial that produces masses of pincushion-like blooms in soft candy pink shades with delicate centres most abundantly in summer. 'Mariposa' is the Spanish word for butterfly, a name which is given to me because butterflies love to visit my flowers. My attractive blooms make a great cut flower to be enjoyed indoors. I am ideal planted in borders, alongside paths, in rockeries, in cottage-style gardens and container planted. I perform best in a full sun position in well drained soil. I need little water once established, except in extensive dry periods when I require additional watering. Regularly deadhead my flowers to encourage more blooms.
