I am a compact form of the native Syzygium australe with glossy, dark green mature foliage contrasting with vivid orange new growth. I am ideal for hedging and screening whether left informal or clipped to a tight formal hedge. I produce masses of fluffy white flowers in spring which are followed by edible purple berries. I attract animals including birds and insects. I happy maintained in a pot which will limit my size. I can even be bonsaied.
