Mt Tamboritha Grevillea 140MM

Grevillea lanigera 'Mt. Tamboritha'

I am Mt Tamboritha Grevillea. My family originated from South East Australia.

Habit Shrub - Bird and bee attracting
Plant family Proteaceae
I am an Australian native ground cover form of Grevillea with narrow pointed foliage and masses of red and cream spider flowers which can appear year round if planted in a sunny location. My compact form is sufficiently dense that it will outcompete most weeds. My flowers are particularly popular with small nectar feeding birds including spinebills and honeyeaters. I work particularly well in rockeries, on banks or cascading over retaining walls.
Caution: Skin irritant
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My red and cream blooms appear for most of the year and are a magnet for small nectar feeding birds
My lush dense foliage makes me an excellent ground cover and a good choice for beside retaining walls
I am just as happy in large pots and containers as I am planted out in the garden
