Syzygium Hinterland Gold 180MM

Syzygium australe 'Hinterland Gold'

I am Syzygium Hinterland Gold. My family originated from Eastern Australia.

Habit Shrub - Can be kept narrow
Plant family Myrtaceae
A medium height, fast growing bush cherry with glossy foliage, feathery, creamy-white flowers followed by purplish-pink edible berries. Several times per year it features flushes of golden copper toned new growing tips. Responding well to pruning it is a great choice for a native hedge, screen or topiary. Attracts bees, nectar feeding birds, seed eating birds, butterflies and beneficial insects.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My dense foliage makes me ideal for hedging and screening
Small fluffy white flowers appear in spring followed by edible berries
My golden copper toned new growth in winter matures to a golden green
