I am Willow Myrtle. My family originated from south western Australia
| I am an attractive tree with weeping green foliage and red tinged new growth. I have small white flowers from late winter borne along the tops of my foliage which tend to make me look like am covered in a light dusting of snow.
My leaves release a delicate peppermint aroma when crushed leading to some of my common names. I am a hardy steady growing and very well behaved and long lived tree. I almost never drop limbs making me a good choice for public areas. My dense form creates great screening. I can also be an ideal shade or feature tree. |
