I am ‘Cousin It’, a prostrate form of the very hardy swamp She-Oak. My dense needle like foliage forms a thick shagpile like carpet that is well suited to a broad variety of garden styles. I am a favourite in rockeries, cascading down embankments, over retaining walls and even in pots, often as an under planting. I am sufficiently dense that I outcompete most weeds leading to a tidy flowing appearance with minimal maintenance. Happy in most soils I will thrive in damp locations where other plants may struggle but am tolerant of dry conditions once established. I am also tolerant of frost and other extremes of temperature. I am a great all round Australian native ground cover.
