Fireworks Kangaroo Paw 140MM
Fireworks ‘Kangaroo Paw’ – 140MM
(Not currently available to be ordered)
I am Celebration Fireworks Kangaroo Paw. My family originated from Western Australia
My multi-coloured blooms are an unusual blue/purple colour which tapers to an iridescent bright pink at the base and down the flower stem. My blooms contrast beautifully against my light blue green foliage.
I am the result of many years of a careful breeding regime called ‘recurrent selection’ by the team at Kings Park. This means that not only am I stunningly beautiful but I also have a long flowering season, a high resistance to extremes of temperature, poor soils and dry conditions. I have excellent disease resistance and am rarely afflicted by ink-spot and rust which commonly affect many Kangaroo Paw varieties. My blooms are a magnet for nectar feeding birds such as spine bills and honey eaters. I am happiest grown in a pot or other container. As a cut flower I am long lived in a vase when being enjoyed indoors. |
