I am Winter Rose. My family originated from Alpine Europe

Botanic Name: Helleborus x hybrid ‘Winter Rose Assorted’

Mounding – Winter colour

I am one of the most popular winter flowering plants for shady locations.

I have a low bushy habit and my varieties flower prolifically with long lived blooms in an incredible range of colours from whites, deep reds, browns, purples and pinks.

My blooms are often beautifully patterned and come in single and double forms.

My foliage also comes in a broad range of colours but is typically more muted in shade than my blooms.

I am long lived and tolerant of dry conditions making me a good choice for dry shady locations such as under trees.

I am a good choice for pots as well as planting out in the garden working well in borders and mass plantings.
