I am Dwarf Bay Tree. My family originated from the Mediterranean
I am a smaller growing Bay Tree with a compact habit particularly well suited to container planting and where space is limited. My fragrant dark green glossy foliage is popular as culinary herb in a range of cuisines. I rapidly grow to 2 metres but can be maintained at a smaller size with pruning making me a good choice for borders and small hedges. I produce masses of fluffy yellow blooms from late winter into spring. I am incredibly hardy tolerating frost, dry conditions, exposed locations and coastal conditions. |
